I cannot get enough pears this time of year. Especially, when they’re ripe and juicy and perfect. I usually go for the Bartlett pears, but recently discovered the Starkrimson and I am officially hooked. My husband describes them as a mix of tart apple and pear.
You can bet that I’ll be scavenging the produce bins for these in the next couple of months, as they’re harvested from August to January. Read more about them here.
